| Laura J |
Laura J may be just a name for some but for many she is making moves and impacting lives with her voice and songwriting ability. With the most innovative and intriguing blend of R&B, Soul and even contemporary influences in her music, you cannot help but listen when you hear her.
Writing her first song at the ripe age of 12 and singing with her "sister-like" cousin, Laura J's ability was over shadowed and often overlooked. But Laura has now revealed that which God had hidden for a short time and is burning with the passion of music that has been brewing in her soul.
Laura J stood strong as a finalist on KSat 12 "Gimme the Mike" and has taken that experience as one that was great and one that she will never forget.
Reaching for an exceeding platform to deliver a message of encouragement, change, reflection, even hardship and joy, Laura J has what it takes to make a difference in music and she will not stop until she gets to where she is going. This music will make you dance, laugh, cry and most of all make you feel again. Her ability to move a live crowd and abducting them into her world is only a small part of what to expect from this woman. She is a genuine breath of fresh air.
One thing is for sure, there is nobody doing it like Laura J. And that's all we can say about that.
Laura J released her debut EP Single titled "Freedom" in 2007 (Available on Itunes and Amazon.com) and is currently finishing the full legnth project due this SUMMER of 2008. |

| Kelly''s Lot |
Kelly Z, lead singer of Kelly''s Lot, recorded her first CD with J. Peter Robinson, former keyboard player for Phil Collins and The J. Geils Band. Lee Sklar, David Walsh and Ralph Humphries were brought on board to add their licks and magic to the recording which helped put Kelly''s Lot on the Los Angeles club circuit. Soon after that, they recorded "Kelly''s Lot-Live at the Troubadour", another 5 song CD, and combined the two to create their first release "Kelly''s Lot Chapter 1 and 2". Their next studio CD, "Test Drive", which included a music video was one of the first enhanced CDs released by an indie artist. This first video was directed by "Thirteen" director Catherine Hardwicke and is a rock version of Melanie''s "Brand New Key". Live is what this band does best so it made sense to record their next 2 CDs in an audience setting. "Stop And Make A Difference", recorded to raise money for various charities, was used in a national campaign for awareness of hepatitis C. With just 2 guitars and vocals, "Trio – Live at Hallenbeck''s", was released as an acoustic journey into Kelly''s Lot. Their second music video "Back To L.A." was directed by Michael Mascarelli. It represents Kelly running a marathon and then jumping on a finish line stage to perform with the band for charity. Something Kelly really did at the Los Angeles, Long Beach and Boston Marathons. Their next studio release,"Come To This", features the Rock''n Blues that Kelly''s Lot has become known for. With lots of sax and guitar it feels like a JAM! College and commercial stations have spun all these releases and the reviews have been glowing. Kelly''s Lot has sold their CDs all over the world via the internet, at a variety of coffee shops and record stores and on tours across the USA. The full band includes Kelly Z on vocals, Perry Robertson on lead and rhythm guitar, Linda Moss on Harmonica, Homero Chavez on Cajon and Percussion, Sebastian Sheehan on drums, Mark Drews on bass, Rob Zucca on lead guitar and Bill Johnston on Sax. |

| JohnDalyProject |
John has been writing and performing since he was a child. Though not continuous,
he has made it a point since 1998 to dedicate his career goals to music alone.
John grew up in Levittown Pennsylvania and played in the local club circuit for several
years after graduating high school. After moving to Largo Florida he sought out musicians
for a new band. After many band line ups and frustrating attempts to collaborate,
John decided to hire musicians for studio work. In 1998 he completed his first CD.
2 CDs later and with many more songs lined up, John is proceeding to get his music
heard everywhere possible. Though Rock & Roll is Johns favorite genre, he doesn't
want to stop there. John has written Big Band Swing arrangements, Country, and much
more. "Classification of an artist seems so limiting to a person that enjoys variety".
So John continues to perfect his craft and spread his creation in many directions.
Though performing is his favorite and jost exciting area of the music business, it's
safe to say enthusiasm exists in all areas of John's creative endeavors. John can
create on the spot. If an idea or need for a musical part is required, John probably
can have pretty good input for it in a short period of time. With hundreds of songs
and song parts recorded on tape, John has a wide variety to choose from. John does
play out at Open mics, Open jams and guest sings for jost of the local bands in the
Tampa Bay area when possible. In early December "07', John started to work with a
new line up of musicians, and is hoping to do alot more live work!

It''s amazing how far an acoustic guitar, a VW bus and 40 songs can take you. From the late 1960''s at Beaux Arts Coffee house in Florida where Jim Morrison and Mic Jagger sang to present day digital recording sessions it''s been a good trip. In the 1970''s, it was college campus clubs and play anywhere you could. Opening act for a few big name bands, Dave Mason, Taj Mahal, Rita Coolidge, Little Feat, Leon Russell, Pure Prarie League and others. A stint in the Virgin Islands rounded off the decade. It was exciting being one of Fantasma Productions first acts when they were just getting started. They''re huge now. Standing on the stage of a Holiday Inn lounge in the 1980''s playing to a happy hour, chicken wing eating, drunk crowd or a loud restaurant packed with families of screaming kids directly in front of the stage, I was there. Lot''s more opening acts and 20+ years of nightclub work, much of it with my brother in arms, Mark Zumberg [alias Zoom]. As an acoustic duo you can get a lot of work if you''re brave enough to take it. I can''t imagine a situation we haven''t seen and dealt with from the stage. Club owners with no cash at the end of the night to pay you, to girlfriends shouting obscenities at you from the audience. Here''s a secret about guitar players I''ll let you in on: the real reason you buy an expensive guitar is because they play themselves when you''re drunk. I remember performing one night until 1AM in South Carolina, breaking down all the sound gear and loading it into the van, driving all night to Tampa, Florida, playing an 8AM morning television show [you know none of your friends are awake to watch], then driving to Sloppy Joe''s in Key West for the 5PM happy hour gig only to arrive and find the band house is already occupied by the friends of the drug dealer / biker who lives in the back apartment. It''s funny now. Play in a European country where no one speaks English and you''ll find yourself changing words to famous songs to break up the monotony. I wrote some grea! t songs doing that. This is why there''s a brotherhood of performing musicians. "He who shares the stage and lives the day will surely be my brother." It was a highlight to play the Woodstock 25th reunion at the original site in 1994. If you were around in the sixties, you''d know what a big deal that is for an old hippie. Nowadays I''m finally recording the songs I''ve written over the years spurred on by the inspiration of Grammy recipient and good friend Billy Dean. I just released 13 tunes and I''ll follow up with 14 more in a |

| Death to Anders |
In a time when fabrications and inventions rule our everyday lives, Silverlake based Death to Anders has created Fictitious Business, a surreal and cryptic look at life in the 21st century. Like paranoid eyes through a camera lens, this album dissects human dominance through expansion of unwasted space, self improvement, self destruction, lust and beauty. Noise filled jangly guitars draws the listener into this American landscape, as darkly sweet harmonies connect the bad with the good, and the pleasure with the pain. Heard in its entirety, Fictitious Business takes the listener through an astonishingly dynamic musical journey.
This well-crafted sophomore album was produced by Dave Newton (The Blood Arm, The Little Ones, The Movies, The Happy Hollows, The Henry Clay People), and features guitarists and vocalists Rob Danson and Nick Ceglio, bassist Peter DiBiasio, and drummer John Broeckel. Combined with guest appearances by fellow members of the Central Second Collective as well as other talented local musical cohorts, Fictitious Business is their most ambitious work to date. Comments: We''d be very pleased for you to download the song Camera Lens from out myspace page. It is the first single from out newly-released CD entitled Fictitious Business. |

| Brittney Elizabeth |
I’ve got stacks of books filled with dreams, but they collect dust on my shelf. - Brittney Elizabeth, “Don’t Let Me Let Me Down”
Many a dream may be laying dormant in waiting, but for Brittney Elizabeth, being a recording artist on the brink of stardom is not one of them. The 20-year-old singer/songwriter is poised to take the music world’s breath away with her debut album, Breath In, a heartfelt collection of tunes documenting a young woman’s introspective look back on the heartbreaking journey of first love. It’s a well-worn path covered in song, though rarely with the purity of voice and confidence of an artist confessing she’s still not ready to exhale.
“All the songs are about the same person,” confides Brittney. “We met in math class, started dating for like ever, and are still best friends now. We have this on again off again relationship thing that we sort of decided upon and I have no idea why,” she says with a laugh – now.
Brittney began songwriting at 17 years, as journal entries evolved into poetry and metered prose. It was a natural evolution for the Arizona teen who had been singing other people’s words since the age of 5, belting away Patti Smith and Sarah MacLachlan songs while buckled into the rear car seat. Noticing her child’s natural gift for carrying a tune and making up her own words as she sang along, Brittney’s mother signed her up for voice lessons with a local teacher. She began professional voice classes, which expanded to include guitar lessons, acting classes and roles in community theater musicals. For a brief time she took piano lessons, though restless to remain still, Brittney settled for having a natural talent for playing by ear. While in public high school, she sang in the school’s choir but found the choral music at odds with her personal taste in music.
“For a period, I went through a really ‘uncool’ phase in music,” recounts Brittney. “My cousin said I couldn’t listen to that stuff anymore or I’d need therapy. So she made me a mixed tape that included acts like Dashboard Confessional and The Ataris who I immediately fell in love with. Suddenly I wanted to be this happy punk princess and had to learn guitar.”
The pop punk band The Ataris in many ways was a return to her earliest introduction to sound – Patti Smith. The legendary queen of punk rock was a rebellious poet and iconoclast, who crafted empowering songs with a raw and confessional tone. Unbeknownst to Brittney, Smith’s spirit had left an impression in her still-developing brain as a child. And like a dormant memory awaken, the subconscious inspiration surfaced during a summer music camp when she wrote her first song.
“I attended a singing camp in California,” remembers Brittney. “Rob Seals, who would be one of my co-writers, was teaching a class on songwriting. Within like 10 minutes, I wrote my first song. All these feels came rushing over me, it was amazing.”
Songwriting became Brittney’s escape from the constraints and growing pains of life in suburbia. By day she played nice in the school zone, continuing with the choir and attending the required classes for graduation, then at night she seized control of her world, reserving her deepest truths for poems and songs. And though her taste in music continued to change, with singer/songwriters like Damien Rice and Bright Eye''s Connor Oberst (she named a song after the group) now commanding her CD player, Brittney voraciously jotted down her every thought and whim. A multi-tasker by nature, she’s a hazard on the road with her composition book lying in the front passenger seat, waiting to be brought to the steering wheel the instance a lyric pops into her head. By the time she completed high school, the teen had written over a hundred songs, most concerning her favorite topic of love.
“What I live for is love and even though it hasn’t worked out for me, for us, I’m just glad I got to experience it,” says Brittney. “Whether it’s happy or sad it is what gives me life. I completely believe in soul mates and finding that one person. I know that I’m not alone in believing this.”
With Breath In completed, Brittney Elizabeth can finally exhale and dust off a couple of the books of dreams on the shelf, for at least one has become a reality. As she prepares for the next chapter in her undying search for a soul mate, fortunately for us, she has her composition book at her side to take us all on the journey. |
